Debbie White

Owner, Vocal Instructor

My name is Debbie White and I come from a very musical, country family. Country life doesn't run towards restaurants, movie theaters and bowling alleys. We pulled out guitars, the piano and had fun singing and playing music. At an early age I knew music meant the world to me and I began studying piano and the alto saxophone. At age 14 my vocal studies began. I went to Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas and studied voice as a major and piano as my minor. I continued playing sax in the jazz band. I also attended the University of Arizona even though they wouldn't transfer my French credit and made me take College Algebra! I never really understood that, since singers need to perform using the romance languages and I never perform college algebra! I also studied at Arizona State University. It was at this time I met a wonderful lady at church whose name was Lois Albright. She was a voice teacher who had taught the best and came from New York. She owned the Viennese Operetta Company. I began vocal studies with her and sang in the company. She proved to be the best teacher I had ever had and taught me many vocal techniques not taught in university. Now I have been teaching for twenty three years and music is still my passion!

Diane Krum

Drama Instructor

Hello, I am Diane Krum. I have lived in Arizona for 14 years. If you promise not to hold it against me, I will also share that I am a native of New Mexico. I am married and a 17 year survivor of the autoimmune disease, scleroderma. WARRIOR is probably a better word, but the breast cancer people took it first. I performed in various plays during high school, then studied theatre at Eastern New Mexico University. I am currently pursuing an Associate of Arts degree at Paradise Valley Community College because Albert Einstein once said "The day you stop learning is the day you stop living". I don't want to stop living, so back to school it is! I have worked with Deb's Music and Theatre since 2007, when my two children began studying voice. Debbie is fantastic! She took my presumed to be tone deaf daughter and unlocked her angelic voice. I enjoy working with kids and working in the theatre, considering I am dramatic myself! My two children currently attend one of Arizona's top, performing arts schools; thanks largely in part to their work with Deb's Music and Theatre.
